To Michael's family. I am very sorry to hear about Michael's passing. He and I became close friends many years ago when i still lived in Baltimore. Although i haven't seen Michael for over 20 years, his friendship was never forgotten and he will always have a special place in my heart.

Dear Sandy, Vicky, Moo & Teri,
So sorry for your loss. Someone sent me a picture of the beautiful photos posted at the viewing and they brought back wonderful memories. And now hearing the song on this obituary page, "Desperado" - it was his favorite. I hope that you will find comfort in knowing that Mike loved his family so and is with his brother now.

My deepest sympathy is with Mike's family, we have surely lost a very kind man.
I had the pleasure of being one of Mike and Danny's many friends. I also had the privelege of sharing an apartment with Mike for a little over a year, and although I am not a cat person, Mental and Magic had also apparently signed the lease. I could tell a million stories about Mike and they would all end in a deep belly laugh, but now they also come with a tear in my eye.
I can say with absolute conviction that Mike loved life, he loved his friends and he definitely loved his family. I cannot recall a day that would go by when he didn't mention his nephew Joey, and when he did, his face would just light the room.
We all carry skeletons in our closets and we all face demons on a daily basis, but Mike always looked his demons straight in the eyes. He was never afraid of who he was. And even though sometimes it would have been easier to collect the rent from his cats Mental and Magic he was one of the most loyal friends a person could have. He was an awesome roommate, a competitive teammate and an unconditional friend. Rest In Peace my friend.

Mike was a very special friend and we all go back to the days of Gary Kokta who we also dearly miss. Why does God take the best people out of lives way too soon? because he needs genuine people up there to help him out. Just remember mike to put me on the lease up there when I die. I love you and you will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart (and Tommy Kinnear's)
