Santo Nastasi, of Parkville passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 in his 97th year. Beloved husband of Jacqueline Mae (Lucas) Nastasi for 68 years; loving father of Randy Nastasi and wife Debra of Glen Burnie, Michael Nastasi and wife Terry of Salisbury, Palma Karpa and husband Mark of Odenton, Leslie Hess and husband Roman of Parkville; proud grandfather of Brittany, Nicole, Danielle, Michael, Jr., Stephanie, Kelli, Wayde, Katie, Matthew, Duane, Noel and Andrew; dear great-grandfather of Sydney, Ryan, Christian, Madison, Bailey, Jada, Logan, Gabrielle, Nathan and Taryn. He is also blessed to be survived by great-great granddaughters Aria and Alaska. Mr. Nastasi was part of the "Greatest Generation". Mr. Nastasi proudly fought in World War II, participating on the D-Day Normandy Beach Invasion and battles in Northern France, the Ardennes and the Rhineland. He received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant. He will be lovingly missed by his family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the family owned Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation, 7527 Harford Rd, Parkville. Interment Service with Presentation of Military Honors will follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills at 1:00 PM.
