Robert Michael Cierkes (“BeeGee” or “Bob”), 75, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025.

Born to Joseph and Esther Cierkes, Robert was loved deeply by his family, friends, and colleagues. He dedicated more than 30 years of service to the State of Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation, where his integrity, reliability, and good humor earned him the respect of everyone he worked with.

Robert’s lifelong passion was music. From his early days playing guitar and singing in The Kinde, a band he formed with close friends in the 1960s, to attending countless concerts over the years, music was woven into every part of his life. Those who knew him will remember his Barry Gibb–like voice, his quick wit, and his special way of making everyone feel seen and cared for.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Horizon Church of Towson, 40 Burke Avenue, Towson, MD 21286 (chapel entrance in the front). Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, 7305 German Hill Road, Baltimore, MD 21222. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Boys Town, an organization Robert supported (www.boystown.org).
