Roma Natalie Stafford (nee Maciurak) passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026 into the arms of her Lord. She was predeceased by her parents and then older sister Oksana, in 2024. She was born in a displaced persons camp in Germany at the end of world war 2, after her family had been forced to leave their beloved Ukraine. After immigrating to the US, and while in the process of becoming citizens, her father passed away leaving her mother to raise both girls on her own. Roma grew up in Baltimore city in the Ukrainian community as well as being involved with the Peabody institute. She had a beautiful voice and showcased it regularly. Roma graduated from Towson university with a degree in English and began teaching in Dundalk. After having the kids, she settled down and became a part time teacher and full time housewife. She loved life and lived it in the loudest and most amusing way possible on her terms.

Roma was a devoted mother to Nicki Stafford and Romi Andersen (Donny). Godmother/aunt to Andrew Chorney (Ulana) and Joanne Krohn (Buzz). Great aunt to Isadora (Izzie) and Zorianna (Zoe) Chorney, and Alexandra, Michael and Josephine Krohn. She survived by numerous relatives and friends both here and in Ukraine. Burial plans are private.
