Paula A.C. Spero, known to some by her Greek name Polyxeni, died on
September 4, 2025, in her house attended to by her puppy companion,
Glorfindel. In her 75 years on earth, Paula was a structural engineer, a historic
preservationist, the founding owner of a consulting firm, a coach, and, throughout
her life, a student.
Her nieces and nephews knew her love as an abiding and adoring
supportiveness for all their efforts to lead meaningful and contented lives.
Paula was a lover of dragonflies, travel, and the abundance of disclosure—
“wonder,” “truth,” beautiful as a multifaceted gem, sublime as the depths of time
on a cavern wall—that ripens and juices the soul upon intimate examination of
the world. She was a practitioner of reiki and a seeker of healing wisdoms—for
herself in her own journey of trauma and wholeness, and always, generously, for
her beloveds.

Paula is survived by her puppy companion Glorfindel “Finn,” her siblings, John,
Nick and Thea, her nieces and nephews, CJ, Jessica, Joshua, Samantha, Sara,
Nathanial and Ian, and her great-nieces and -nephews Miles, Mya, Zoe, Rosalie,
Maisie, Ari, Arabella and Audrey.

Paula’s memorial service and burial will be held at Serenity Ridge Natural Burial
Cemetery on September 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, her family asks
that donations be made to this go-fund-me https://gofund.me/ef67f7e6c to build a
garden of healing named Roses for Tamar that she had been holding in her heart
for the past several years.

Her family requests that no flowers, trees or any other items be purchased.
