Margaret "Maggie or Peggy" Joseph Obituary

Margaret Ann Joseph

July 7, 1935 – December 11, 2024

“Maggie or Peggy” was a vibrant, remarkable woman and lived a fulfilling life of 89 years. She grew up in Pennsylvania, and graduated from St. Luke’s Nursing School  in Cleveland (1956). She practiced professional nursing in many capacities until her mid 70s, in both Cleveland, Ohio, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Maggie had a strong commitment throughout her life to letting others know God loves them and had a heavenly home waiting. She shared these beliefs through involvement in church activities like teaching Sunday school, supporting missionaries and teaching Bible groups in her home as well. As able, she supported local and international charitable giving. Letting others know someone noticed they were in need and then did something about it to help was important to her. Personally, Maggie enjoyed being physically active. Her hobbies included gardening, boating, swimming, crafting, and sewing. She made lifelong friends due to her involvement in professional and civic endeavors.

She will be remembered with love by her four children and their spouses: Abby/Frank, Amy/Doug, Peter/Lyndley, and Phil/Wendy. Maggie has 14 grandchildren and 9 soon to be 10 great grandchildren who she shared special relationships with. Maggie was married to Bill Joseph for 25 years and embraced her step family adult children, Sally, Bill/Tis; Debbie, Mary and Guy (deceased) and her 10 step grand children with open arms.

She passed suddenly and peacefully in her home and will be missed by so many.
