Laureen Nolker, 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted mother to her sons, John and Alex, and cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren - Autumn, Mya, John, Hailey, Addison, Lillian, Elizabeth, and Liam. Laureen dedicated her life to her family. She poured her energy into nurturing her loved ones through both joyful and challenging times.

Laureen was a simple woman who found joy in the little things, from reading to watching reruns of "I Love Lucy." Her warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her. Professionally, she made a significant impact during her 23 years with the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC). As a vital member of the senior executive teams, she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and humor. Laureen took pride in her work, always seeking ways to enhance productivity and ensuring tasks were completed to the highest standard. Her contributions to the University of Maryland Medicine Foundation and her close relationships with the UMMC Board of Directors showcased her commitment and the joy she brought to her colleagues.

Laureen loved sharing stories and pictures of her family, which brought her immense happiness. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her unwavering love and support.
