Larry Doster

On September 28, 2021, Larry Franklin Doster, age 77, unexpectedly passed away in Baltimore County, Maryland.  Larry was born in Baltimore City on April 26th, 1944; and graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1961.  He was a proud Baltimore City Fire Fighter with over 30 years of service spanning from 1965 until his retirement from Engine 41 in 1995.  During his retirement, Larry enjoyed carpentry, was an avid golfer, a loyal Orioles Baseball fan but dedicated most of his time to his friends and family.  Larry was predeceased by his father, Franklin C Doster, and his mother, Virginia E Doster, as well as his sister, Jacqueline V Haller (nee Doster). He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley V Doster; devoted father of Brian, Amy, Priscilla, and Richard Doster; loving Grandfather of Gary Reiff, Kristen, Robert, Ethan, Richard, Alexander and Charlotte Doster; Great-Grandfather to Elijah Reiff, dear Uncle of Denise and Tammy Haller, Matthew Thompson and the late Abigail Thompson.  A celebration of life will take place at Sylvester’s Saloon on October 22nd at 3pm. Sylvester’s saloon is located at 7326 Golden Ring Rd, Essex, MD 21221.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
