Joseph Lynch Furst, age 89 of Middle River, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 in his 90th year. Born in Baltimore to the late Frederick Victor Furst, Jr. and Mary Elise (Lynch) Furst; Beloved husband of Margaret A. (Karl) Furst; devoted father of Jerome Furst of CO, Michael Furst and wife Susan of CO, Valerie Tafoya and husband Kevin of CO, Shannon Furst of NV, Marie Dekowski and husband Don of Bel Air, William Yoor of NC, Kathy Vance and husband Brent of Churchville and the late Anthony Yoor (survived by wife Linda); dear brother of Mary Elise Lanahan and husband Larry of Bel Air and the late Richard Furst and Frederick V. Furst, III; proud grandfather of Naomi Ramero, Audree Furst, Layla Hammond-Furst, Luke Hammond-Furst, Jackson Hammond-Furst, Christina Yoor, Rusty Yoor, Danny Dekowski, Timmy Dekowski, Jonathan Yoor, Matthew Yoor, Stephen Yoor, Joy Yoor, Noel Lohr, Diana Campbell and Michael Miller; loving great-grandfather of Nashan Ramero, Joseph Ramero, Jada Yoor, Brenna Dekowski, Charley Campbell, Colton Campbell, Brooks Dekowski, Noah Miller, Corbin Campbell, Oliver Miller, Grace Yoor and Raven Yoor. Also survived by other family members and friends. He served in the Air Force for over 20 years, earning the rank of Chief Master Sergeant and will be lovingly missed.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM in the family owned Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 7527 Harford Rd, Parkville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1003 Bird River Rd, Middle River. Air Force Honors and Entombment will follow at the Mausoleum in Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Rd, Middle River.
