Jancy R. Lister

Jancy R. Lister, age 66 of Baltimore passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018. A beloved daughter of  the late Melvin Lister, Sr. and Irma (McInnis) Lister; loving sister of Mary Ann Lister-Davis of Lucedale, MS, Melvin Lister, Jr. of Lucedale, MS, Hardy Lister of Sterling, VA, Dorcas McLeod of Lucedale, MS, Joe Lister of Lucedale, MS and the late Susan Lister. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 
Born in Mississippi but her father being in the military she spent her formative years between Mississippi and Maryland.  Then in 1969 she graduated from Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, MD.  At the age of 17 she moved to Baltimore, MD, and attended Morgan State University, earning a BA in Social Work.  Although she became a Social Worker, she soon left that for the hospitality industry, where she was a bar tender, server, and caterer.  In addition to this she did upholstery work where she created many wonderful items.  She resided in Baltimore, MD 49 years.
She was a good friend, loving sister and aunt.  She enjoyed people and getting together for great food and conversation.  Also, Jancy was very fond of the Baltimore arts community and had many friends there. She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 6-9 PM in the family owned Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 7527 Harford Rd, Parkville.
