Our beloved mother and grandmother, Iris Goodwin, passed away September 20, 2024, after an enduring illness . She was 82. Born in Baltimore , she was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Rhea Walker ,and sisters Teddy and Eileen.
Iris was the heart of our home and family. She was a retired administrator at the Drug Enforcement Administration. Quick to make anyone laugh or smile who got to know her. She lovingly raised two children , Douglas Goodwin of Parkville  and  Angela Savell of Boca Raton . Iris shared her life with her soulmate Robert ( Bob) Shorb ,who survives her in death. Bob and Iris shared a long lasting love that transcends time. Iris is also survived by son-in-law Glenn Savell , beloved nieces Linda, Marla and nephew Frank. As a grandmother to surviving grandsons Roman (19) and Raffy  (14),she was the "loving  grandma," adoring everything her grandsons would do. Iris was known for her hearty laugh, fun family stories  and boundless heart. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed.
