In loving memory of an amazing man, Herbert E. LaFon. Hap, Happy, Dad, Pop-Pop, Uncle Hap…in his 96 years he shared a warmth with all whom he encountered. One of the nicest men you’d ever meet, Hap served his country, his family, and his community. Raised on a farm in southern Ohio, he served in WWII, then started a family in Towson, Maryland. He owned a packaging company working as President and salesman on the road more often than not. After retirement he still sold paper, then delivered packages, then volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital five days a week for well over a decade. He was an icon there, delivering the mail and a smile to all who needed one. He had a great life, and those who knew him knew his generosity, strength, and positivity. He will be forever remembered, missed, and loved.
