Born on November 20, 1933, in Mount Holly, New Jersey, Elaine embarked on a remarkable journey that would span 90 years, culminating in a life well-lived and cherished. On July 21, 2024, Elaine passed away peacefully in Pikesville, Maryland, leaving behind a legacy of love, education, and service.

Elaine's early years in New Jersey were just the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and a passion for nurturing young minds. After graduating from Kenwood High School, she continued her education in early childhood education at CCBC and Towson University. Her academic journey paved the way for a rewarding career as a dedicated teacher, where she inspired countless students to reach their highest potential.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Elaine's heart was truly at home. She was a loving mother to her son Wayne Vincent,  (born 1955- death 2019) daughter Robin Vincent (birth 1957-death 2008) and survived by daughter, Rebekah DeLibro, and a guiding light to her son-in-law, PJ DeLibro. Her role as Mom-Mom was one she cherished deeply, bestowing her wisdom and love upon her granddaughter, Anna DeLibro, and grandson, Evan DeLibro. Elaine is survived by brother George Shinn, sister Ruth Ann Snow, brother-in-law Cecil Snow. Her adored nephews and nieces, as well as the many people she considered as family members throughout the years.

For 49 years, Elaine stood as a pillar of strength and devotion alongside her beloved husband. Together, they navigated life's challenges and joys, reinforcing the bonds of family and faith. Her role as a mother and Mom-Mom was complemented by her spiritual leadership, which saw her serve as a guiding force in her church and community. Elaine's zest for life was not confined to her immediate surroundings. Her adventurous spirit took her across the globe to serve others and teach in China and Indonesia.  She served as a civil air patrol leader and international student leader. These experiences enriched her worldview and allowed her to share her insights and compassion on an even broader scale.

Nature was Elaine's sanctuary, and she found solace in its beauty. Bird watching, reveling in the outdoors, and engaging in word games were among her favorite pastimes. She was a voracious reader and a lifelong learner, continuously seeking to expand her understanding of the world around her. Her volunteer work was a testament to her unwavering commitment to serving others, a trait that resonated deeply within her community. Elaine lived her faith with every step, teaching by example and embodying the love she believed in so fiercely. She was the embodiment of intelligence, her sharp mind always seeking knowledge and truth. Her faith-filled spirit was a wellspring of hope and inspiration, encouraging those around her to lead lives of purpose and joy.
