Ellwood P. Gurklis, age 96, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Born in Baltimore to the late Paul Gurklis and Anne (Bubnis) Gurklis Matthews; beloved father of Paul Gurklis and wife Gloria of Joppa; loving grandfather of Michael Gurklis, Timothy Gurklis, Melanie Gurklis and Cody Gurklis; proud great-grandfather of 9 great-grandchildren; dear brother of the late Virginia Huntsberger. Also survived by other relatives and friends. He served in the Navy and owned and operated the Flower Shop on Belair Rd in Overlea. Mr. Gurklis was a talented singer and actor. He will be lovingly missed.
