Elisa Bell Obituary

Elisa Jane Bell (née Maboe), 67, of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and in keeping with her wishes, on July 14, 2026. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on August 23, 1958, to the late Genevieve Leona Stanton of West Virginia and the late Thor Ommundsen Maboe of Norway, who preceded her in death.

Elisa was also preceded in death by her brother, John Olaf Maboe, and her sister, Linda Lucman Maboe.

Elisa lived life fully and with tenacity . She loved to travel, try new things, scrapbook, eat chocolate, and hit up a good yard sale every chance she got. Always reminding everyone to,  “Dicker ‘em down”. Above all, she loved her family, and that love was the center of everything she did.

She is survived by her husband, Leon Lafrance Bell, Jr.; her children, Melissa Fidler (Raymond Fidler, Jr.), Genevieve Elder (Jesse Elder), and Matthew Callahan (April Boblitz); her stepchildren, Lacey Nelson (Jamie Nelson) and Leon Lafrance Bell, III (Leticia Shell); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
