Douglas Harold Shock age 87 of Essex, MD passed peacefully and joined his Heavenly Father on August 25 2020. Beloved husband of Florence Elaine Shock and loving father of Rebekah Joan DeLibro and her husband Peter Anthony DeLibro, proud grandfather of Anna Serafina DeLibro and Evan Anthony DeLibro. Loving step-father of Wayne Scott Vincent and Robin Kay Johnson. Prayerful father of Judy, Phyllis and Brenda Shock and grandfather to their children. Born in Lutherville, Maryland he was predeceased by his parents Oliver and Katherine Shock, daughter Brenda, step-daughter Robin and step-son Wayne. He proudly served as a Sergeant in the second armored division in the Korean War. Worked as a carpenter for 42 years and got his degree in pastoral studies from Baltimore School of the Bible. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 10-11 AM in the family owned Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 7527 Harford Rd, Parkville. A private Memorial Service will be held. Please no flowers, instead the family wishes donations to Helping Up Mission 1029 East Baltimore Street Baltimore Maryland 21202 to assist those who need it very much.
