David Tom

David Tom, age 89 of Towson, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021. Born in East Orange, NJ to the late Ping and Fong Tom; beloved father of Mary Anne Tom of Towson, Michael Tom of Columbus, OH, Melanie Shiflet of Berlin and Marlana Carlson of Chicago, IL; proud, loving grandfather of Marisa Shiflet, Madelaine Tom, Marlea Tom and Mitchell McKnight. David proudly served in the Navy and earned a Bachelors Degree from American University in Washington, D.C. He was retired from the State of Maryland where he assisted veterans in finding employment. He will be lovingly missed by his family and friends.

Family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 12-2 PM. A Memorial Service will begin at 1 PM. Donations to assist his children with funeral expenses are to be directed to his daughter Melanie Shiflet, 11 Chestnut Way, Berlin, MD 21811. Current Covid19 restrictions apply. You must be wearing a mask to enter the funeral home.
