Daniel Carl Slater, Sr., age 86 of Parkville, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, a beloved son of the late Carl Slater, Ruth (Love) Slater Cruz and Jose Cruz; cherished husband of Carolyn (Connorton) Slater; loving father of Tonya Slater and fiancee' Wade Brown of Orbisonia, PA, Daniel Slater, Jr. and wife Lisa of Forest Hill, Keith Slater and wife Beth of Joppa, Michael Waltman and partner Shirl Johnston of Essex and Michelle Barnes and husband James Barnes, Jr. of Lutherville; proud grandfather of Aaron Kidd, Jack Kidd, Daniel Slater, III, Abagail Slater, Emily Slater, Carly Slater, Brady Slater, Josie Slater, Kristina Waltman, Bethanie Johnston, Britnee McGraw, James Barnes, III, Jason Barnes and Sarah Barnes; dear brother of the late Thomas Cruz, Dorothy Jean Stapf, Susan Tuminello and Carla Mandley. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.. Daniel proudly served in the Navy, was a retired commercial painting foreman, longtime member of the American Legion and will be lovingly missed.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the family owned Parkview Funeral Home, 7527 Harford Rd, Parkville/Northeast Baltimore. A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Dominic Correlli, Sr. will be held the following day on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM , in the funeral home. Interment is private.
