Brent Wayne Hooper, age 60, was born on April 28, 1965, and passed away January 30, 2026. 

Brent dedicated over 20 years of service to the City of Baltimore, where he worked as the General Superintendent of Lighting and Snow Removal. He took great pride in his work and serving the city. Outside of work, Brent found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a devoted fan of Baltimore Ravens football and Orioles baseball, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his teams. He also loved baking and sharing what he made with those around him. Above all else, Brent cherished his role as a father and grandfather.

Brent is survived by his sons, Zachary Hooper (Kelsey) and Sean Hooper (Rachel); his grandchildren, Ella and Haven Hooper; his brothers, Richard Hooper and Brian Merico; his biological mother, Karlyne Merico; his father, Frank Hooper Sr.; and his stepmother, Linda Hooper. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Hooper and Joe Hooper, and his adoptive mother, Virginia Pfarr.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
