Elaine C. Hummel

Elaine Carol Hummel, B. S., Fine Arts, Towson University, age 65 of Baltimore passed away October 31, 2017. Born in Washington, D.C. a daughter of the late Charles and Janet (Bush) Hicks; beloved wife of Mark Hummel; cherished mother of Daniel O'Doherty of Oahu, HI and Brian O'Doherty of Baltimore; loving sister of Sandra Payne of Annapolis, Jason Hicks and wife Julie of OH, Billy Leckie and wife Jenny of SC and the late Kimberly Hood; dear stepmother of Emily Godson and husband Marcus of Havre de Grace and Serafina Eskinazi and husband Isaac of Abingdon; proud grandmother of Jacob Eskinazi, Adam Eskinazi, Abigail Godson, Briella Godson and Jerome Godson. She taught art at Catholic High School until recently for 25 years. She started and lead many programs and was highly loved and respected by her students and fellow faculty members. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Friday, November 10 from 6-8 PM in the family owned Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 7527 Harford Rd, Parkville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 11 at 10 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 6806 McClean Blvd, Baltimore.
