He also set up and headed the art departments at Loch Raven Junior and Senior High Schools.
John loved the theater and liked to write plays, some of which have been published. For a time, he was a member of the Woodbrook Players.
He will be remembered for his keen sense of wit, his love for parties, the stories he would gladly tell to those who would listen, and for the laughter he brought into so many lives. He will be sorely missed by his nieces and nephews who called him “Uncle Buzzy”, and also by the staff at Broadmead who were thanking him for being so kind up to the end.
