Robert M. DeGraw

Robert M. DeGraw, age 80 of Joppa passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016. Born in Baltimore to the late Samuel and Emma (Wockenfuss) DeGraw; beloved husband for 50 years, of the late Jeri (Gilliam) DeGraw; loving father of Dawn DeGraw of Joppa and Robert K. DeGraw and wife Deborah of Fallston; dear grandfather of Jessica and Katlyn DeGraw. Bob moved his young family to Joppatowne in 1962. They were among the first families in the new community. As an active member of the Joppatowne’s Lions Club, he assisted in numerous community and philanthropic activities. He was ever available to lend a hand to a neighbor or friend. Bob was a printer at Aberdeen Proving Ground until he retired in 1994. He enjoyed family life. He actively participated in the early years of the Rec Council with his son’s and daughter’s sports teams. He enjoyed years of boating with the family on the Chesapeake. There was always a boat at the pier for family and friends enjoyment.

Join us for a celebration of his life on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 700 Anchor Drive, Joppa, MD followed by a memorial service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Church of the Resurrection, Endowment Fund.
